Sunrise in Spring

This was one of a few, smaller paintings where I completed a series of watercolor landscapes showing backlit trees in a forest, but never really felt happy with the final product. 

The following year I went back and revisited them, applying a new eye and a new set of skills and have ended up with a small series of work that I love.  I call them my 'Little Gems', because they are small but pack a big punch.

Sunrise in Spring represents a quiet wooded glen backlit with the golden glow of the new sun.
