Lemon Sorbet Too

This was one of a few, smaller paintings where I completed a series of watercolor landscapes showing backlit trees in a forest, but never really felt happy with the final product. 

The following year I went back and revisited them, applying a new eye and a new set of skills and have ended up with a small series of work that I love.  I call them my 'Little Gems', because they are small but pack a big punch.

Lemon Sorbet Too is a more traditional landscape with strong yellows in the fields and flowers.  My favorite areas are the ink bubbles in the far tree on the right, and the hints of pink and purple peeking through on the horizon line.
