Red Poppies

I love flowers, and poppies are a particular favorite because they are so easy to grow!  These beautiful blooms were just dancing in the sun, in contrast to the green undergrowth and dark forest in the background.  Much of the shape of the flowers and leaves beneath were captured by pulling together geometric shapes, inspired by stained glass or mosaic glass work, a technique I also used in my Sunny Side Up painting.
