Imagining

This work came about after watching an episode of the survival show, Alone, where contestants are left out in the wilderness literally on their own to survive and win out against the elements.  There were lots of shots of the canopy of trees above where the contestants landed, and it made me think of lying on the ground and just looking up through the branches and leaves into the sky above, imagining.  I wanted to capture the trees converging as they climbed higher, and the sun peeking through.  

Crowning Glory is a similar composition in warm autumnal gold and pink watercolor.
