Crowning Glory

Crowning Glory was a painting that I did to experiment with several things.  One was color, in this work I once again kept the palette simple and was originally going to stick with golds and browns, but in the end, I think the addition of a cadmium red to give the soft peachy colored foliage on the left-hand side really makes the picture. 

Imagining is a similar composition in cooler blues and green watercolor and ink.
