Limoncello Grove

This was part of a series of work I did in early 2025, investigating the combination of watercolor and ink to convey simple landscapes, limited to a small selection of colors.  This particular landscape was inspired by visits to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, where lemons grow in abundance and limoncello is a part of everyday life.  I particularly enjoyed layering in the cool yellows in the foreground, allowing the blue mountains to recede into the distance.
