I love the simplicity and peaceful air of this landscape, with rolling hills and soft misty colors. The name Lavender Salt Marshes comes from the hints of blues and purples peppered into the foreground foliage. There is a companion piece, Rust Salt Marshes, which depicts the same scene in the fall, I think the two look great next to each other.
