Heart of the Wave

Heart of the Wave began as an experimental piece working with some new colors in my watercolor palette and was one of the first pieces I did on multimedia rather than watercolor paper.  Here the colors and the ink take very differently and give crisp colors and sharper more defined and higher value marks.  I found the wave appearing from the watercolor as it dried, and enjoyed using very fine micron ink pens to draw in structure as it folds over onto itself.
