Climbing - Framed

I love using the white of the watercolor paper to depict white in real life subjects.  In this case it's a clematis flower, set against the rich foliage, buds and flowers in the background.  I kept the palette relatively cool, with lime greens and blues to indicate depth, with some purple added for interest, showing a bud about to bloom.

The original art is currently on display through the Peninsula Art League at the Pen Met Recreation Center in WA and is available for sale framed (local delivery only) to 11" x 14".
