Across the Canyon

This is one of my first original paintings.  I was experimenting with watercolor techniques and pencils and ended up with this landscape feature that reminded me of rocks and the facade of a worn canyon.  I love the geometric nature of the blues and purples.  I wanted to bring the viewer's eye to the foreground as well so drew in skeleton trees coming in from both sides, bringing the branches together as if they were reaching out to connect.
